About the Committee & 8th Edition
Standard Specifications for Water & Sewer Construction Committee exists to provide a "Convenient standard working document" which could be used in the preparation of documents for the construction of sewers and water mains. The purpose of these Standard Specifications is to reduce document assembly time, and provide a high quality product which will facilitate agency reviews and reduce bidder time. The committee consists of Owners, Contractors, and Engineers as well as representatives from relevant state agencies who act in an advisory capacity.
